This website

This website uses no cookies and no advertising trackers. To see how many people visit and which pages they read, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts visits and shows us roughly where visitors come from (country, device and browser). It does not use cookies, does not follow you between websites and does not build a profile of you, so we cannot tell who you are from it. If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply.

PK Fishing

When you use the app we store what you give it so it can work for you:

• Account details: your email address and display name, and optionally your first name, surname, country and a profile photo.
• Fishing records: catches and blanks, with species, weight, photos, times, rigs, baits, hooks, distances and notes.
• Location: the position of a catch and of venues you save. It is captured only when you log a catch or set a venue.
• Conditions: weather and moon phase, fetched for those positions.
• Social activity: who you follow, likes and comments, competitions you enter and tackle you share.

We do not collect payment details or identity numbers. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or profile you for marketing. The app's usage statistics are used only to improve it.

Who can see what

• Only you: venue locations, map pins, catch positions, local-knowledge notes and session logs.
• Anglers who follow you: your catches, photos, species, weights, badges and Reel Records.
• Competition participants and spectators: catches tagged to a competition appear in its standings, and anyone with a spectator link can view them.
• Tackle: private unless you share it.

Where it is stored

In a hosted database and storage service provided by Supabase, which may be outside South Africa. The app also uses a few outside services: Open-Meteo for weather, Esri for satellite map images, OpenStreetMap's Nominatim for place search, and PostHog (EU servers) for usage statistics, such as which screens are opened, so we can see what to improve. Signing in with Google is optional.

Your rights

Under POPIA you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, and complain to the Information Regulator. You can delete your own data at any time from the Profile tab. For anything else, email admin@pksport.co.za.

PK Golf

PK Golf stores the rounds, players, handicaps and scores that you enter so it can show the leaderboard. For questions about it, email admin@pksport.co.za.
